John Maynard Keynes's supporters still insist that he was a mild and benign liberal. In truth, Keynes supported the blood-soaked Soviet regime and called himself a socialist. 

The Left conveniently ignores dozens of state-dominated and state-controlled medical systems and decides that the lack of preparedness for COVID-19 was all the fault of those small slivers of healthcare systems that are actually private.

Egalitarians think that equality has intrinsic value: they advocate it for its own sake, not just to forestall bad consequences. But why is a situation in which some in it have been made better off, and none worse off, worse than one of equality?

Whether we're talking public health or economic growth, the Chinese regime's love of intervention and centralization has led to one crisis after another.

Sinister forces in American political life are using the coronavirus crisis to incite war with China and to stir up bad feelings toward the Chinese people. But war with China should be the last thing people want.

Modern monetary theory (MMT) conveniently facilitates dangerous policies and ideas that seemed unrealistic, like universal basic income and “helicopter money,” and that have been particularly propagated by government-sponsored economists for the past few years. 

For starters, let's have California secede and limit Bernie-style socialism to the new republic. If my predictions ended up being wrong and the state became a paradise, then the rest of the country could quickly follow suit.

Rose Wilder Lane was one of the past century's most ardent proponents of liberty. Give Me Liberty, which traces her evolution from communism to a devotion to liberty, is as relevant to the present as it was in 1936.

To effectively counter this brand of American socialism, it is important to properly identify the problem, and to attack with precision.
