We are hard at work on many important projects, but our efforts are possible only thanks to you, our donors. We have many new books in the pipeline. We are editing several new high school–level courses for Mises Academy, including courses in history and civics. We have exciting technology upgrades as well as new online offerings planned for our website. These projects are all investments in advancing the Austrian tradition through private education grounded in Mises and Rothbard.
Just as important are the investments we are making with scholars around the world. Earlier this year, we announced over a dozen new associated scholars on our faculty page, based worldwide, from Troy, Alabama, to Tokyo, Japan. Most of these scholars began their journey as students at Mises University, developed their skills in our graduate student programs, and now are influencing students in their institutions. From Poland to Paraguay, Misesian scholars are making their mark in the intellectual battle.
This advancement of scholarship has always been the heart of our mission. When Lew Rockwell first started the Mises Institute in 1982, he immediately faced pressure from “libertarian movement” leaders who didn’t want to see him succeed. Most “think tanks” were nothing more than fundraising schemes to advance special interests in Washington. But Lew wanted to create an institution that was truly principled and independent—that couldn’t be bought like the government and its cronies. So from the beginning, the Mises Institute was about investing in the ideas essential for civilization to flourish.
And we have remained laser-focused on that mission. As Charity Navigator has reported, 92 cents of every dollar we spend goes directly to our programs. That’s why every donation, large and small, is so important to us.
Thank you for your support.
