What the American worker needs is more of what Wal-Mart offers and less of what the government offers. If we could then fix the Fed so that it would no longer water down the value of our money, we'd never have to worry about declining real wages again.
It is comfort food, a breakfast that we eat when we are very young and very old.
Apart from the saving grace that the companies are adding value to the society, it is a jamboree of politically correct, anti-development, guilty, and dishonest people — those who have no concept of how wealth is created. They have no interest in the environment or the poor.
When government on all its levels enters health care, the industry has to adjust to every dollar spent and every order given.
So it is with the security state. We give it power, we permit it to run itself with no oversight, we put up with its excesses, and we have a hard time imagining what life would be like without it.
That government has managed to corrupt our sense of justice to the point that it can perpetrate such a transparent fraud upon any fully conscious human being is yet another argument in favor of the free society and against the state.

We must realize that the two most powerful motivations in human history have always been ideology and economic interest, and that a joining of these two motivations can be downright irresistible.
So there you have it: a theory of causation (lack of regulation) and a proposed solution (more regulation). Are we supposed to believe that in a properly and full regulated world, there would be no unexpected accidents or any regretable malfunctions?
