Mismanagement at the Big Three
It was a dead heat. General Motors sold 9.37 million vehicles worldwide in 2007 and lost $38.7 billion. Toyota sold 9.37 million vehicles in 2007 and made $17.1 billion.
That was the second best sales total in GM’s 100-year history and the biggest loss ever for any automaker in the world.
For Toyota, that was roughly $1,800 in profit for every vehicle sold. For GM, it was an average loss of $4,100 for every vehicle sold.
The Case for an Undergrad Degree at Loyola U
I regard Grove City College and Loyola University New Orleans as the best two places in the U.S., heck, on the entire planet, for young people interested in an Austro libertarian undergraduate education, where cultural Marxism will not be shoved down their throats. Or, rather, where this will be minimized, compared to other colleges. Both are very good private religious schools. I think any young person interested in this perspective would have a great undergraduate education at either of them.

Walter Block rightly notes that Loyola University New Orleans and Grove City College are the two best places in the U.S. to receive an Austro-libertarian undergraduate education. (Worldwide, I would add Universidad Francisco Marroquin to the list.)
