I Don’t Care About Common Core
As long as it’s legal to use an alternative to public school, it’s a waste of time time to argue for “reforms” when one’s time is best spent arguing simply for massive defunding.   “But the government uses your money” the reformers claim. Yes, that’s true. The government uses money for lots of things, such as public transportation and   far more important is the battle to ensure that alternative exist and that spending is kept as low as possible. The same applies to the health care issue. Why so many parents have Stockholm syndrome I don’t know

What is the Mises Institute?

The Mises Institute is a non-profit organization that exists to promote teaching and research in the Austrian School of economics, individual freedom, honest history, and international peace, in the tradition of Ludwig von Mises and Murray N. Rothbard.

Non-political, non-partisan, and non-PC, we advocate a radical shift in the intellectual climate, away from statism and toward a private property order. We believe that our foundational ideas are of permanent value, and oppose all efforts at compromise, sellout, and amalgamation of these ideas with fashionable political, cultural, and social doctrines inimical to their spirit.
