Though disagreeing among themselves on finer points, the Democrats are united in believing in the urgent need to...raise taxes, spending, and regulations. This thereby permits the GOP to run again—again!—against “tax-and-spend liberalism.” There’s your choice: two speeds of socialist advance (though which party will get us there quicker is still in dispute).
