Portugal’s Estado Novo, which dominated politics for more than 30 years there, and was firmly anti-capitalist. It has been 50 years since Estado Novo’s demise, but anti-capitalist thinking still dominates among Portugal’s ruling elites.

Owners are not only prohibited from producing the wine of their choice but also from deciding the volume they produce, the price at which they can sell their products, the way they store and vinify according to protocols, and the list goes on.

The Federal Reserve is not the only central bank in the world doing monetary and economic damage. Portugal‘s central bank—working as a branch of the European Central Bank—has been undermining sound money and economic prosperity in that country.
