José Ramón Acosta

José Ramón Acosta Gómez is a researcher and writer focused on risk, uncertainty, and institutional resilience. He is also professor at the School of Economics within the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences at the Central University of Venezuela (UCV). He holds both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from the UCV and is additionally certified in Quantitative Risk Management (CQRM) from the IIPER in the USA. Wile He is currently a visiting professor at the University of Buenos Aires, in the Faculty of Law, School of Law, teaching the subject: Elements of Financial Economic Analysis. He is also an Associate Researcher and a member of the Academic Committee of the Patagonia Libre Foundation

What is the Mises Institute?

The Mises Institute is a non-profit organization that exists to promote teaching and research in the Austrian School of economics, individual freedom, honest history, and international peace, in the tradition of Ludwig von Mises and Murray N. Rothbard.

Non-political, non-partisan, and non-PC, we advocate a radical shift in the intellectual climate, away from statism and toward a private property order. We believe that our foundational ideas are of permanent value, and oppose all efforts at compromise, sellout, and amalgamation of these ideas with fashionable political, cultural, and social doctrines inimical to their spirit.
