George Omondi Ojwang’ is a financial Economist cum accountant and a staunch disciple of Austrian economics. He is a doctoral candidate of Financial Economics at the University of Nairobi, Kenya, currently Head of Department of Business Studies at the Siaya National Polytechnic. He has been researching on Central banking with a view to eradicating their inflationary tendencies through monetary policy transmission mechanisms. Ojwang faults government expenditures both transfers and resource-using for their misallocation component. Murray N Rothbard captures it succinctly in Power and Market, Monopoly of the mint and of the definition of money (legal tender laws) has been used to achieve full control of the nation’s monetary system.
