Dries Van Thielen

Dries Van Thielen is a Belgian historian with an interest in nineteenth-century political economics and migration patterns. He’s currently connected with the Coppet Institute, a French thinktank promoting 19th century Classical Liberalism. This article is loosely based on the introduction of his Dutch translation of De la production de la sécurité (along with Joeri Vandendriessche, expected to appear in 2018/2019 by Liberaal Archief). A French version appeared earlier in Laissons Faire .

The Mises Institute is a non-profit organization that exists to promote teaching and research in the Austrian School of economics, individual freedom, honest history, and international peace, in the tradition of Ludwig von Mises and Murray N. Rothbard.
