Brandan P. Buck is a research fellow in foreign policy studies at the Cato Institute. He is a historian of domestic opposition to U.S. foreign policy in the 20th century, postwar conservatism, and the national security state. His research concerns the impact of an activist foreign policy on American society and civil liberties, the history of U.S. strategic thinking and its implications for contemporary politics, and the politics of foreign policy.
