Birsen Filip

Dr. Birsen Filip is an economist and a philosopher. She is specialized in the history of economic thought, philosophy of economics, political philosophy, philosophy of science, and continental philosophy. She has published numerous academic articles and chapters on a range of topics, including the neo-liberal school of economic thought, the Austrian School of Economics, the German Historical School of Economics, German Idealism, liberalism, ordo-liberalism, imperialism, and socialism. She is also the author of two books: The Early History of Economics in the United States: The Influence of the German Historical School of Economics on Teaching and Theory (Routledge, 2022); and, The Rise of Neo-liberalism and the Decline of Freedom (Palgrave McMillan, 2020).
