Political analysis is often pointless, given the utter dishonesty with which politicians spew nonsense, especially during an election year. Despite that, I want to zero in specifically on the housing proposals made recently by Kamala Harris—the left’s latest political avatar and presidential candidate.

In 1818, the English writer Mary W. Shelly (1797-1851) published her gruesome novel Frankenstein: The Modern Prometheus, which became world famous. In the story, the scientist Dr. Victor Frankenstein pieces together a human-like creature from cadaver parts in his laboratory and succeeds in breathing life into its body. But Frankenstein would immediately like to eliminate the monster he has created. He sees it as a demon, calling it a “disgusting monster,” a “cursed Satan.” The monster immediately realized that it is excluded, outcast from human society.

In our bureaucratically-managed economy, financial prosperity increasingly depends on how close one can position himself to the dissemination of newly-created money. Understanding this critically means identifying the link between this “prosperity” and newly-created money. Since creating money from nothing can’t possibly be productive, or enhance wealth in any real way, there is no direct link to prosperity. The connection must be indirect, and indeed it is.

Socialists and other leftwingers support taxation of the income and wealth of the well off. They say that they want to promote “equality” and “social justice,” but in fact they are motivated by envy. Rumors had been swirling for days that Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. might suspend his independent run for the White House and endorse Donald Trump and on Friday he did just that.
