President’s Impact Report — Fourth Quarter 2025
Mises Institute Scholars and Staff
Senior Fellow Dr. Mark Thornton has become a sought-after guest because of his ability to speak in a clear and knowledgeable manner to all audience levels. Thus, he was very busy this quarter:
- He appeared on Investing News Network, The Freedom Report, the Palisades Gold Radio Show, Commodity Culture, and The Scott Horton Show.
- He was interviewed by Mario Innecco on his YouTube channel, Julia La Roche on The Julia La Roche Show, and Gary Bohm on Metals and Miners.
- He appeared on Soar Financially and the Little by Little show. Both episodes have gotten over 100,000 views.
In October, Henry Hazlitt Research Fellow Dr. Jonathan Newman presented his paper “The Origins of Money: Menger versus Modern Monetary Theory” at the 9th Madrid Conference on Austrian Economics at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Spain. Dr. Newman’s paper won the third place Rothbard Prize.
He also appeared on the episode of The Homeschool How To show, “Indoctrination Wars: Taking Back Control of What Your Kids Actually Learn with Mises Institute Economist Dr. Newman.” Listen to it on Spotify.
Editor in Chief Ryan McMaken appeared on the John Curley Show on KIRO 97.3 in Seattle to discuss how the state hates the family. He also appeared on The Catholic Current episode “SNAP Judgments.” Watch it here.
Mises Institute Media and Content Producer Connor O’Keeffe appeared on The Freedom Report episode, “Austrian Economics: Your Ultimate Survival Toolkit for the Financial Reset.” Listen here.
Earlier this year, Senior Fellow Dr. David Gordon began transferring his extensive personal library of over 16,000 volumes to Cornerstone University. As a part of our student-only event at Cornerstone University, the David Gordon Library Collection was officially dedicated at the university’s Miller Library. Students were given a behind-the-scenes look at the remarkable effort and care with which Cornerstone’s librarians are processing this colossal noncirculating collection and preparing it for use.
Senior Fellow Dr. Guido Hülsmann was awarded the George F. Koether Free-Market Writing Award for his book, Abundance, Generosity, and the State: An Inquiry into Economic Principles at our annual Supporters Summit in Delray Beach, Florida.
