The Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs (OCPA) is seeking an economist to research and advance policy ideas that maximize economic opportunity and prosperity in Oklahoma. He or she will author articles and studies on tax policy, budgetary policy, and general economic issues important to Oklahoma . He or she will also represent OCPA in media interviews and in professional forums and settings, including professional conferences, legislative committee hearings, and public speeches.
He or she should have at least an M.A. in economics (preferably a Ph.D. in economics) and an intellectual affinity for free markets and limited government.
