Pietro Brugnolo

Pietro Brugnolo is a doctoral researcher at Lund University, Sweden. He works on electromagnetic field theory, with a focus on novel techniques for trapping light in nanocavities. His work has appeared in Physical Review Letters and Physical Review B. He is also a passionate scholar of libertarian theory and Austrian economics, taking an interdisciplinary approach that brings these traditions into close dialogue with systems psychology, radical constructivism, and cybernetics. He is currently working to integrate elements of Misesian economics with the cybernetic formalism of self-organizing systems. His work has appeared in the Journal of Libertarian Studies.

The Mises Institute is a non-profit organization that exists to promote teaching and research in the Austrian School of economics, individual freedom, honest history, and international peace, in the tradition of Ludwig von Mises and Murray N. Rothbard.

Non-political, non-partisan, and non-PC, we advocate a radical shift in the intellectual climate, away from statism and toward a private property order. We believe that our foundational ideas are of permanent value, and oppose all efforts at compromise, sellout, and amalgamation of these ideas with fashionable political, cultural, and social doctrines inimical to their spirit.
