John McKearn

John McKearn has been a student of American history and government since age 14. He began his career as a psychotherapist and substance abuse counselor before moving into hospital leadership as CEO of behavioral health organizations. A fourth-generation entrepreneur, he has built companies across industries, both domestic and international, in profit and non-profit sectors.
Years of working with the most challenging human behavior led him to study government fiscal and monetary policy. What he discovered is staggering: a system quietly orchestrating a massive siphoning of wealth from everyday citizens who he believes are fully capable of understanding exactly what’s been done to them and how it was accomplished.

What is the Mises Institute?

The Mises Institute is a non-profit organization that exists to promote teaching and research in the Austrian School of economics, individual freedom, honest history, and international peace, in the tradition of Ludwig von Mises and Murray N. Rothbard.

Non-political, non-partisan, and non-PC, we advocate a radical shift in the intellectual climate, away from statism and toward a private property order. We believe that our foundational ideas are of permanent value, and oppose all efforts at compromise, sellout, and amalgamation of these ideas with fashionable political, cultural, and social doctrines inimical to their spirit.
