Gene Smiley

W. Gene Smiley is Professor Emeritus of Economics at Marquette University. He received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Iowa, and he is past President of the Economic and Business Historical Society. Professor Smiley is the author of the books, Rethinking the Great Depression: A View of Its Causes and Consequences and The American Economy in the Twentieth Century.
