A student recently asked me what was known of “Rothbard’s opinion on the events of early May, 1968 in France.” I turned to Joe Stromberg, Jedi Master of the Rothbard Archives, who kindly dug out for me two columns Rothbard wrote for the Colorado Springs Gazette Telegraph in 1968: “The Student Revolution” and “French Revolution – 1968.” For anyone curious about the results, here’s a brief summary:
The word on the “civilian contractors” who were murdered and hung for display in Iraq is that they worked for Blackwater USA, which (MSNBC) “supplies security guards to the Coalition Provisional Authority and has provided protection for Iraq administrator L. Paul Bremer, among other coalition officials.”
Apparently it has, according to unidentified “traders and news reports”.

Also reassuring are the words of Lara Rhame, a “senior economist and foreign exchange analyst with Brown Brothers Harriman who is a former Fed economist.”:

Marc Faber is an investor trained as an economist, who has written one of the more interesting financial books in the last year. The book cites the Austrian school, but I believe he mis-interprets the Austrian business cycle theory as an over-investment theory, while it is in reality mal-invesmtent theory. The book is one of the more wide-ranging and fascinating tours of financial and economic history in the investment literature.
Mogambo Guru is an Austrian Economist who writes the weekly Mogambo Guru, “an avocational exercise the better to heap disrespect on those who desperately deserve it”, and which frequently cites Mises Institute writers. This week, Mogambo manages to make some very serious observations into a hilarious commentary about the buildup of debt, the dollar, inflation, and government lying. To give a sample,
