Preface
BUSINESS-CYCLE theory in the United States before i860 ( and after 1900 has been carefully analyzed, but little is known of its development in the period from 1860 to 1900. This essay aims to fill in this gap by a detailed examination of the theories of booms, crises, depressions, and business cycles stated by writers in the United States in this forty-year period. The purpose is simply to present the more important theories found in the literature of the period.
Taylor & Francis Highlights Austrian Economics
The academic publishing house Taylor & Francis (a part of Routledge) is highlighting a number of economic theories by providing collections of journal articles from their extensive library with free access. Among these theories is the Austrian school, and T&F provides a free collection of 14 published articles from a number of different journals that “agree with, query, and utilize” the Austrian perspective.
How the West Poisoned the Mind of the East

Valiant Hearts: The Great War
Valiant Hearts is the rare game that combines engaging gameplay with a compelling narrative and a strongly anti-war message. I highly encourage readers to give it a try, even if you’re not usually interested in gaming. It’s available for all the major platforms, some of which are now offering the first chapter free, so if you want, you can try it out before buying the full version.
