McCaffrey Hits SSRN’s Top Ten Lists

Nobody follows the Billboard charts anymore. In an age of music downloads, the “Top 40” ranking is pretty meaningless. But who cares about that music stuff when you can keep track of the top scholarly articles at  the Social Science Research Network?

In fact, today, readers will be happy to find that Matt McCaffrey’s article “What’s Love Got to Do with It? Action, Exchange, and Gifts in Economic Theory” is near the top of the charts in two categories. He’s number 4 here, and number 6 here.

What is the Mises Institute?

The Mises Institute is a non-profit organization that exists to promote teaching and research in the Austrian School of economics, individual freedom, honest history, and international peace, in the tradition of Ludwig von Mises and Murray N. Rothbard.

Non-political, non-partisan, and non-PC, we advocate a radical shift in the intellectual climate, away from statism and toward a private property order. We believe that our foundational ideas are of permanent value, and oppose all efforts at compromise, sellout, and amalgamation of these ideas with fashionable political, cultural, and social doctrines inimical to their spirit.
