Thomas J. Sargent

Thomas Sargent is Rowan Distinguished Professor of Finance at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He was awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics in 2011 with Christopher A. Sims. He earned his BA from the University of California, Berkeley in 1964, and his PhD from Harvard in 1968.
