George Taylor

George joined the Army in between his junior and senior year of high school to become a member of the 1 Ranger Battalion and later became a Green Beret. After the Army he earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Cincinnati. Following college, he worked in banking in the commercial loan department. While working in banking he loved to skydive on the weekends. He grew disenchanted with banking and at age 38 he started flying. He is now a captain for the world’s largest private charter company and flies a Challenger 350.

What is the Mises Institute?

The Mises Institute is a non-profit organization that exists to promote teaching and research in the Austrian School of economics, individual freedom, honest history, and international peace, in the tradition of Ludwig von Mises and Murray N. Rothbard.

Non-political, non-partisan, and non-PC, we advocate a radical shift in the intellectual climate, away from statism and toward a private property order. We believe that our foundational ideas are of permanent value, and oppose all efforts at compromise, sellout, and amalgamation of these ideas with fashionable political, cultural, and social doctrines inimical to their spirit.
