Daniel Sánchez-Piñol
Daniel is a postdoctoral research assistant with the Probasco Distinguished Chair of Free Enterprise at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He earned his Ph.D. in Agricultural and Applied Economics from Texas Tech University, an M.A. in Austrian Economics from King Juan Carlos University, and a B.S. in Economics from Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral.
His research has appeared in journals including Quarterly Journal of Austrian Economics, Southern Economic Journal, Economics Letters, Constitutional Political Economy, and The Journal of Private Enterprise. He has taught a variety of economics courses at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Universidad Francisco Marroquín, and Texas Tech University.Daniel has also contributed to public policy research at several organizations, including the Texas Public Policy Foundation, where he testified before Texas House committees.
A former Mises Institute Summer Fellow, he was awarded 3rd Place in the Grant Aldrich Prize at the Mündliche Prüfung. His contributions to Austrian scholarship have been recognized by the Austrian Student Scholars Conference and the European Center of Austrian Economics Foundation.
