Last year our speakers made the critical case for new media to cut through the fog of establishment voices. This year our focus switches to state propaganda and its role in the 2020 election. Every day we are bombarded with messages and images which support the status quo, from politicians to government officials to state-connected media personalities. Every day we hear implicit or explicit support for state power, war, empire, spying, taxes, regulations, and central banking. There exists, in fact, a state/media/propaganda complex. Liberty-loving people have an obligation to challenge and refute propaganda at every turn, to present truth as a non-negotiable element of a free society. Our speakers will explore propaganda in the context of the upcoming 2020 presidential election, which is certain to create a barrage of disinformation aimed to steering the American electorate.
The event takes place at Dow Academic Center, Brazosport College, 500 College Drive, Lake Jackson, Texas and begins with breakfast and registration at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 1:00 p.m. Selections from the Mises Institute Bookstore will be available for sale, with authors happy to autograph. There will be an opportunity for individual photos with Dr. Paul, which can later be downloaded from this page. Attire is business casual.
