It’s not enough to be able to arrest Americans in America, holding them indefinitely without charges, without counsel and without trial. Now carrying an almanac in public is cause for the police detaining you because the FBI believes an almanac might contain information that terrorists might use. Be especially mindful if you have written in your almanac, as those might constitute suspicious annotations and you might be declared an enemy combatant by the administration. Then you will be really out of luck.
If you had written this as a spoof, no one would have found it plausible enough to be funny. Now its the American reality. We are careening towards a police state.
