70th Anniversary of Human Action Celebration in Austria

Mises Institute Austria, in cooperation with Institute for Austrian Asset Management and Palais Coburg,  is hosting a celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the publishing of Human Action. Speakers include Jeff Deist, Hans-Hermann Hoppe, and Guido Hülsmann.

The event takes place at Vienna's most prestigious address, the Palais Coburg on the Coburgbastei. As the "House of Finance," the Palais Coburg is the ideal place to bring the Vienna school of economics back to life in Vienna and to explore its practical relevance for investors and entrepreneurs.

The palace is located exactly in the triangle of the most important places for Ludwig von Mises, the most important representative of the Viennese school: his home in the Wollzeile, his workplace at the Stubenring in the Vienna Economic Chamber and his preferred dance floor in the Kursalon of the city park. Today, the Palais Coburg has again geopolitical importance as a venue for conferences and negotiations of global importance — and thus a strong reference to the geopolitical work of many former representatives of the Vienna school, who, always in the background, worked for peace and prosperity. As a modern and sophisticated salon, it finally stands for the old Viennese tradition of a bourgeois exchange at the highest level, which was essential for the emergence and work of the Viennese school.

Festivities include:

• Presentation of the first German edition of "Human Action"
• Solemn tribute to the life's work of Hans-Hermann Hoppe with Roland Baader Award
• Presentation of the album of the first German new dubbing of Mises-Kreis-Lieder with concert
• Exclusive lectures on economics, epistemology, history of ideas and financial markets
