2022 marks 40 years since Lew Rockwell founded the Mises Institute with the blessing of Margit von Mises, the first Chairman of the Institute's board. An enthusiastic Dr. Murray Rothbard was soon enlisted as the first academic vice-president.

You don't want to miss our 40th anniversary gala celebration this October, at the beautiful Arizona Biltmore hotelset against a spectacular fall background in the Valley of the Sun. We will enjoy a weekend of fellowship and fun, celebrating the growth and popularity of the Austrian school while critically assessing the future. Scholarship, conversation, socializing, dining, outdoor activities, and world-class accommodations are all part of a weekend which is sure to be a highlight of the year.

Jeff Deist and Lew Rockwell will host, along with some very special guests: Ron Paul, James Grant, Judge Andrew P. Napolitano, Joe Salerno, Tom Woods, Daniel Lacalle, Paul Gottfried, Thomas DiLorenzo, Peter Klein, David Gordon, Patrick Newman, Rahim Taghizadegan, and Ryan McMaken.

The event takes place beginning with a special dinner Thursday evening, October 6, and continues through the evening of Friday, October 7. For those who wish to stay for social activities Saturday, we will have a delicious brunch and tours. Our special hotel rate extends from Thursday, October 6 to Sunday, October 9.

The dress code for the event is resort casual, with the exception of optional black-tie wear for the Friday night dinner. Tux rentals are not required.

Our room block at the Arizona Biltmore is currently full. If we are able to extend the block, we will reopen the booking link on this page. We do have another room block for $279/night before tax at a nearby hotel, AC Hotel Phoenix Biltmore. Use this link to book, or call (602) 852-6500 and mention the Mises Institute event. We will have a complimentary shuttle running between the two properties throughout the event.

Optional activities include a Saturday brunch at the Biltmore and a tour of the Frank Lloyd Wright winter home Taliesin West. The tour ticket includes admission, a guided tour, and transportation.

The cost (exclusive of room and incidentals) is $495 for Mises Institute Members and $595 for nonmembers. Registration includes: a reception and dinner Thursday evening, all meals Friday (including a black-tie optional dinner), and all sessions and lectures. Society and Gold Club Members also attend two VIP receptions.
