Karl-Friedrich Israel
Karl-Friedrich Israel is a professor of economics in the department of economics and business at Western Catholic University in Angers, France, and currently runs the Chair for Economic Policy at Saarland University in Germany as a substitute professor. He is a Mises Institute Fellow and an organizing member of the Austrian Economics Meeting Europe. He is also an associate researcher at the Liberales Institut in Zurich, Switzerland. He previously worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute for Economic Policy at Leipzig University in Germany and taught at the Berlin School of Economics and Law. He obtained his doctorate degree in economics from the University of Angers in France in 2017 working on the costs and benefits of central banking. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in economics, applied mathematics and statistics from Humboldt-University of Berlin, ENSAE Paris and Oxford University.
