About the Author

Jessica Fialkovich is an expert exit strategist, keynote speaker, small business advocate, and award-winning business owner. The Founder of Exit Factor, she is also the coowner of Transworld Business Advisors in Colorado, Dallas/Fort Worth, and Las Vegas. Jessica is also an entrepreneur at heart and successfully built and sold two startups, along with her husband and business partner, Al. She holds active board positions for entrepreneurial groups including Entrepreneurs’ Organization. She resides in Littleton, Colorado.

Anne Mary Ciminelli is an Associate Editor at TAE International, where she researches, writes, and manages projects. She also has experience consulting for small businesses as they construct business plans, explore partnership opportunities, and seek funding. The coauthor of 12 Lessons in Business Leadership and a graduate of the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, Anne Mary also holds an MBA and a JD from Fordham University. She resides in Potomac, Maryland.

Even if you don't think you'd ever sell your business. EVEN if you KNOW you'd never even think of it. But especially if you want to sell your business, you need to know what's in this book. I've learned so much from the author Jessica, and my business is stronger because of what she's taught me. I'm not planning to sell anytime soon but I'm following her advice to get it as ready as possible in the case that I do one day. Photo is of this book AND mine that was released the week before hers.

    I spoke to Jessica and after our conversation immediately bought the book. So far excellent and words worth heeding. I am a former middle market business owner and now own an M&A Brokerage/Investment Banking firm on the West Coast. I can’t tell you unprepared business owners are when confronted with selling their business to far better prepared investors. Rarely to they get full price for their business. So far (I’m not quite done) Jessica’s book will allow the business owner to leave their business in far better shape and achieve the full potential of their life’s work.

    I bought this book for me. And my dad was visiting. He picked up the book, started reading and to my surprise - he loved the book so much he ordered it on his iPad too.

    My dad had success as an entrepreneur but it also burnt him out. When he folded his business and moved to the US in 2018, he swore off all business things. Wanted nothing to do with it. He also stopped reading since around 2010 when the financial crisis hit and took his business with it and physical books became difficult to handle with his aging eyes. He started reading again just a few months ago. And this is the FIRST BUSINESS BOOK HE’S INTERESTED IN since. He said it’s very easy to read, with simple vocabulary he can understand, great stories and relatable. 🥲 I’m honestly so happy. It’s also a great book. Highly recommend for all entrepreneurs, even ESL immigrants!

    This book is great if you are thinking of selling your business in the future (and everyone should have that as an option). I enjoyed the stories and strategies. I have read a lot of books on this topic and I’d have to say this was the best book I’ve come across. It has both basic ideas that everyone must know (or brush up on), as well as advanced ideas and strategies that I haven’t found in any other books or resources. Jessica and Anne Mary certainly know the topic of selling a business very well. I highly recommend this book!
