Mr.W.Hawil
A very good reading, but what is pro and contra Capitalism and Socialism?
Capitalism uses greed as a whip to drive human beings to strive on, the problem is how much greed is good.
In Socialism everybody thinks that all good things come from"heaven" speak government, but nobody wants to put any effort in no government can function in the long run. Take Democracy; it is only used by politicians and other world leaders for their own bwnefit, all the western countries cannot be considered Democracies because they are really Plutocracies. In the Australian Democracy the ordinary Joe Blow can express his/her view, be it sensible or stupid amongst his/her friends, an audience which is rather small, but when someone writes a letter to the media and the content does not agree with the owner of the media it will never see the day of light. If one contacts his/her member of parliament, the MP will only answer with a lot political speak, but never answer anything.

Capitalism = Freedom, Fascism = Conservative Socialism
Before you judge the book based on what the main stream media has told you what Capitalism, try reading some of it.
This is an eye opening, mind blowing book, you will quickly understand what true Capitalism is. While reading this book, I soon realized that the two major parties are just fighting over 2 kinds of Socialisms, Conservative and Liberal. Both of which make the middle class poor. Capitalism, as outlined in this book, is the only way to true prosperity and to raise people out of poverty.
Michael Moore really needs to read this book...

A Crushing Blow to Socialism
"A Theory of Socialism and Capitalism" is treasure. I recommend this book over "Socialism' by Mises because Hoppe demolishes socialism on economic and ethical grounds.
Hoppe's primary economic argument against socialism focuses on costs. The cost of producing increases under socialism and the cost of leisure falls. Less production will result in impoverishment. His economic arguments alone are convincing.
Hoppe's groundbreaking ethical critique of socialism is icing on the cake. Hoppe proves that no person can argumentatively justify socialism. The norm (acceptable rule of behavior) implied in argumentation is that it is illegitimate to aggress against a non-aggressor. Moreover, no socialist ethic can be justified in argumentation. The capitalist ethic is the only ethic that can be justified in the course of argumentation.
You will never be the same after reading this book. It isn't an easy read, but this book is definitely worth the effort. One of the best books ever.
