It's too bad we can't have Chomsky on here for a discussion.

	EDIT

Also there's the fact that when Catalonia was anarcho-syndicalist, the CNT/FAI had loads of people murdered just for using money. So when Chomsky says that anarcho-capitalism is "a system so full of hate, nobody could possibly want to live in it," I have to wonder...who's system is more hateful? The one that discourages that kind of killing, or the one that doesn't?

Re: Substantial critique of An-Syndicalism?

SkepticalMetal:

the variant that they want to force on you,

According to An-Synd doctrine, the Capitalist is using force on the worker, keeping the fruits of what is justly his. Just sayin, every political philosophy presupposes certain property norms.

Danny Sanchez wrote one, but I didn't think it was very good. There are definitely gaping problems with AnSynd however. The foremost of these is the absence of any mechanism by which to allocate resources intertemporally. It doesn't allow anything which could mimic an interest rate or the speculation function. Goods could not be individually saved. If all resources are planned by a democratic planning committee, then it really is indistinguishable from communist central planning.

Idle resources are fair game for consumption, meaning they don't have any rainy day corncobs.

Also, they would not permit money, meaning not even the planning boards could save the loot of the community.

Labor is individual but the gains are distributed, meaning each laborer has little reason to both consume little and work hard (unless they are True Socialist Men, of course).

Substantial critique of An-Syndicalism?

I was wondering if anyone on here has a good animadversion for anarcho-syndicalism (the variant that they want to force on you, not the voluntary one that is possible in AnCap world).

	Thank you.
