There were no threats of violence, just put-downs. Let&#39;s say that these people followed the old person as long as they could in public space and continued. How would the NAP address this?<br /> <br /> What I&#39;ve come up with: Since it&#39;s just verbal put-downs, it&#39;s not a volation of the NAP, so the old person has no justification for using force. The old person could thus learn how to ignore it. In a society with all private ownership, owners of streets/sidewalks could take action against harassers, since their customers wouldn&#39;t like it if they tolerated it.<br /> &nbsp;</p><div style="clear:both;"></div>
