I may or may not do work on the Second Editon of "An Essay on the Nature and Significance of Economic Science"... by the time I noticed there was a Second Edition scan also on Mises, I had already completed the first one. It sort of sucked out my motivation to continue working on that specific book. I may just delay the Second Edition EPUB for a future date, and work on other projects in the mean time.

Mind giving me a link? Perhaps I can work from their version and make it better/more accurate to the original.

I've actually been able to converse with Levine through email, and he was quite accomodating. I'd definitely reach out to him. You're doing great work with all this. I think he'd be enthusiastic to help in any way he can, especially in support of his own work.

I will type up an email later tonight, and keep everyone up to date on what happens.

I was tempted to get in contact with Boldrin/Levine when the book first came out, and see if I could get my hands on the source documents.

Now that I am looking, I can't seem to find an EPUB version of the book, which is sad, but there is an official Kindle version:

It would be a better use of my time to go from $16.99 MOBI -> EPUB (few hours of work), than to work backwards from the PDF (potentially tens of hours, errors introduced in the process).

They have a PRINT TO ORDER section of their catalog, but they won't sell the JB Say books that they used to have. They don't have as many Liberty Fund books, Schumpeter's C,S,& D isn't available anymore, Mencken is gone [...]

I asked, and was told that those physical books sold extremely poorly. The Institute was losing money on each of those books, so they have been removed.

I will take a look at them and most likely add them to the list.

As a side note, it looks like the EPUB of Libertarian Forum finally got posted. What would you rather have, 173.25 MBs of PDFs? Or 3.94 MBs of amazing EPUB. :)

I spent TONS of hours fixing typos, and tweaking lots of things in that one (I would estimate at least ~8000 fixes (that is how many LINES of code I tweaked, there could have been multiple tweaks per line))............. Let it be known that those who use BOLD everywhere to emphasize words in a publication must die a thousand deaths!

Is the LvMI cheaping out on their press productions? They have a PRINT TO ORDER section of their catalog, but they won't sell the JB Say books that they used to have. They don't have as many Liberty Fund books, Schumpeter's C,S,& D isn't available anymore, Mencken is gone, those silver rounds are wildly overpriced, etc.

They aren't in fincancial trouble are they? That'd be pretty...embarrassing.
