Those were just things on Obama's 2008 platform, but less explicit.

It seems that the Republican party is less libertarian than the current president if this represents a 'revolution'.

That sounds like a pretty underwhelming 'revolution'.

Yeah, it's pretty sad when that's considered a revolution. However, I'd rather start with baby steps in the right direction than continue hurling towards the wrong direction as we have currently been doing for some time.

Modern politics is a game, a game the rich and powerful use to control the masses with pseudo-legitimacy.

They don't want a truly free market because it would diminish their control of the masses.

This is one of the problems with libertarians taking over the repub party. There's still a great deal of quid pro quo that occurs between politicians and citizens in the process of getting elected and then ruling.

Libertarians would eliminate all of that. Thus, where would be the incentive for businesses and the wealthy to pay into political campaigns to get them elected? It would be gone.

And who would reap the reward? Democrats. Because they're always willing to play the quid pro quo game, and if they're the only game in town, then those who want to buy favors and privilege will go to them.

It would be libertarians against all of the businesses in the world and all the poor voting themselves largesse.

It's hard to imagine that working out well.

As if any Republicans are going to listen to him. The Country Club Republicans, Nixon Republicans, rule the party and are going to either make it the Democratic Lite Party or crash it. Look at the list of Presidential Candidates since Reagan. Not one even uses conservative rhetoric much less strongly advocate a conservative policy:

Bush, Dole, Bush, Bush, McCain, Liberal Governor from Mass. They are getting farther and farther away from anything Paul wants to do and close to the military interventionist state advocated by the Neo-Cons.

Yeah, but even the jackass Charles Craphammer concedes the immigration point - Sean Hannity, too. LOL.
