For LibertyHQ I am making a section where a user can create his own lists of links. I was considering making a "normal" view where you only see top-level lists, and then to access those and see what's inside you would need to click on them, which will take you to another page that shows only the next level of lists, and so on. I also wanted to make an "exploded" view where you see the entire hierarchy of lists + links.

The exploded view will look like this:

http://candlemind.com/projects/progclub/file/michael/lists.php

My question is "Do I really need a normal view?" For personal lists, this does not seem necessary now that I think about it. Your thoughts?

I don't know about the lists, but the color scheme is a tad effeminate.

The site looks quite bland.

But hey, information > beauty.

I guess youre starting on the content of the site before actually making it nice.

I think the links thing is a really good idea. Esp. for someone like john james.

You can also try putting a paste bin into your website, even though its mainly used for code id say its really helpful for long articles that need to be posted or to create your own article in which you can share with anyone, lets say we want to post a long article, we can either post a link to another website or put it on a paste bin. The problem with posting links is that they get broken or website gets put down, etc, etc.

Have you thought about using a co.cc name or a .tk link for your website?

I prefer dot.tk it looks better  than that long candlemind link

I have considered the free domains, but I've read that they can be cut abruptly and used for ad money, so I decided to not do that for now. Maybe I'll get an actual domain sometime.

About the color scheme, it will likely change. Especially the purple.

Hmm i have an idea for myself  everyone. You think establishing a sort of mekipedia.com website would be any good? You make a wikipage about yourself and share with others.

I looked up on google, doesnt popup anything like it.

You mean like facebook?

If I had a cake and ate it, it can be concluded that I do not have it anymore. HHH

TOG, you made me die.

Why would you want a wiki of yourself? So others can edit it? I am considering at the moment what social networking aspects I can work into LibertyHQ.

Its unlike facebook since you can write more details than youd normally would (of course not address or phone number).

Accomplishments, deeds, early life description.

Anyone can make a page about themselves, this is not merely for myself. They can share, or make fake ones as a joke.

Im bored thatss why lol.

Go on wikipedia and look up someone like ludwig von ises, or hayek, or billgates.

Instead of them, why not you?

Everyone has a unique story of their own.
