http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2007/11/the_crash_of_2008.html

The author correctly analyzes the situation right, but I completely disagree with him when he says that the failing stock market calls for more easy money. Why should we make money more accessible to people who squandered it in the first place? That's like hiring an investment advisor, him losing your entire retirement money, and then you saying it happened because he didn't have enough money and proceeding to give him more.

There is no dilemma for Bernanke. He MUST raise interest rates. I would say at least to 10%. Yes, I'm aware that this would bankrupt many businesses and people. But we must ask ourselves if this is a terrible thing considering the alternative. These people who made bad investments and got into so much debt are to blame for the current crisis. If rates are cut further, the dollar will eventually collapse and everyone will suffer for the stupidity of others.

But unfortunatly we have a government that is owned by rent-seeking corporations that are so blinded by their lust for a higher stock price that they can't see that the walls are crumbling all around them. Luckily for them, they can always move overseas. Unluckily for us commoners, we hold worthless dollars

A Way to Help Ron Paul's Cause

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,271356,00.html

Fox News is having another debate Sunday, and they are accepting questions from people on their website to the candidates.

On the link they give an email address to email questions and they want you to tell them to whom to ask the question.

If a lot of people asked Ron Paul a question then maybe he could actually get some attention.

Maybe not, but it's worth a try.

Man Arrested for Resisting Theft

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,299517,00.html

I had never heard of this couple before, but now I'm sad that the thieves finally got to him. From the article, it sounds as if more than just their right to their private property was violated during this whole drama.

"Four supporters of the Browns were arrested on Sept. 12."

It doesn't say what they were arrested for, but I'm guessing that the government goons were just sending a message that they are not afraid to exercise their arbitrary power in order to fulfill their evil mission.

"The Browns may now begin serving their 63-month federal prison terms," said U.S. Marshal Stephen Monier. "High profile situations like this are always difficult, but they don't have to be tragic. I'm glad no one was injured, and that the community remained safe throughout the operation."

I'm going to have to disagree with Mr. Monier, aka brainless government goon. I claim that the situation came to quite a tragic end. The Browns showed the rugged individualism that this country was build on. The courage it took to stand up to leviathan for that long should be celebrated by freedom-loving individuals everywhere. It is a tragedy that a hero is having his liberty removed because he broke an unjust law enforced by an illegitimate government that no longer acknowledges it's founding document (except while on the campaign trail). The claim that no one was injured is a joke. I guess the officer doesn't consider having your liberty stolen from you to be an injury. I guess he wouldn't complain if someone locked him in a basement for a few years.

We live in a world ruled by guns. Whoever has the most guns has the most power, therefore we should all get more guns in order to maintain power over our own existence. I acknowledge the fact that no man has the right to initiate violence upon another man, but a man has the absolute right to defend himself against violence in a reasonable way. If a guy on the street punches you, you have the right to punch him back. If a government agent brings a weapon to a conflict, then you have the right to bring a weapon as well.
