  • [Update] A left-wing economist discusses "Libertarians and global warming"

Australian economist John Quiggin (whom I've cited previously on climate change costs) has a post up with this title, both at his own blog and at Crooked Timber . Does anybody care to comment? My own response to John was as follows: John, thanks for this piece. As a libertarian who believes that...

  • Re: What book turned you Libertarian

I always had a libertarian bent, but "America's Great Depression" by Rothbard was the book that made me self-consciously libertarian. Interestingly enough, it didn't do it right away. I read the book in high school on someone's recommendation. Not the kind of thing I normally read...

  • From ??? to Libertarianism...

Going off what BWF89 said in another tread, that a lot of libertarians he knows were former liberals, how did you come to libertarianism? From the liberal, conservative, socialist, or fascist, point of view? I personally considered myself aligned with the liberal (in the American sense). I was never...

  • best internships in economics?

My economics sensei (the older guy who gives me advices) told me I should try to get an internship in a major economics, liberty oriented, institute in the USA. I have seen a few and the best one until now seems to be the one at Mises. I know the others don't pay more than 700 or 900 USD a month...
