• Re: Was the Wild West Really That Wild?

Gun free zones are killing zones for criminals. Criminals don't follow laws that prohibit guns in any particular area, but law abiding citizens do. Take Forth-Worth for example where trained soldiers were prohibited from carrying a weapon. An ideal killing zone for a criminal! In that case, as most others, you need someone with a gun to stop a killer

  • Re: Rand Paul turns out to be a neo-con
“Foreign terrorists do not deserve the protections of our Constitution,” said Dr. Paul.
I hear a lot of talk like this on conservative talk radio. Here's the question. Are our constitutional rights a privilege granted to us from our government? Without gov't granting these rights to us we would could not otherwise

  • Re: Could the free market choose Ammunition as money?

no. On the gun forums, due to scarcity, people are trading parts of their supplies for other supplies that they're short on. They aren't using Federal Reserve notes as a medium of exchange. I could see similar trades could happen for just about anything.

  • Could the free market choose Ammunition as money?

I'm thinking no... but I'm adding 9mm and .357 to my "precious" metal portfolio because that's what I shoot. I roll my own ammo so I have the bullet, powder, primers and cases all separate and roll as much ammo I want on demand. In today's recent climate all these materials are very scarce and are being hoarded. When one finds

I'm sure fellow Anarcho-caps will appreciate this. When I feel our country is going to hell I watch this video. Makes me smile. Thought I'd share. Warning, coarse language:

  • Re: Gold Standard question

Lets say that it is a gold coin standard. Gold will circulate in the economy as money. The gov't would make a declaration that, say, every $5000 dollars will get you a one ounce coin. There would be smaller coins than the ounce also, so say half oz coins or quarter oz or 1/10 oz coins also. You would trade in your dollars and receive the gold coins

  • Re: Regarding Conversations With Bernanke "End The Fed"
Yesterday, however, several European banks replaced the dollar with the Euro and the yen as their reserve currency. More trouble ahead.
Do you have a link to any news article or webpage that states this? I'd like to read it. I would guess that they didn't report this on CNN or Wall Street Journal.

  • Does Hayek Advocate Welfare - R.T. Serfdom CH9?

Hi all, I'm a far right Libertarian or Anarcho-Capitalist. On another forum I recently had bit of a debate about a quote taken out of Hayek's Road To Serfdom, Ch 9, second page of the chapter - middle of the page: "Nor is there any reason why the state should not assist the individuals in providing for those common hazards of life against
