• Voting with our pocketbooks

As an economist I've often thought of how we can express our wishes as a republic in such a way as for them not to be watered down by the time they get to the top as is the case with our current political system of primaries and delegates and super-delegates and state conventions and national conventions...

  • Re: Voting anarchist dilemma

Very god captain murphy, its nice to see a guy who can escape from being a moralist long enough to see how things work in the real world, and the slave meal analogy was stunning. but I would give yet another point still; either you can charge the wall over and over again, or, you can use a trojan horse...

  • The Problem with Voters

On the news I hear way too many comments about politicians insulting one another (mudslinging), digging up old facts about their opponents' personal history, etc. Reporters make a big deal out of it, like it's some sort of reality show. "Who said what? Who insulted who? Who used to smoke...

  • Man Vs. Voting Machine

I have used one. A voting machine was favorable to the write in process. I wonder if my write in even got through. He was a local libertarian, my type in. I trust real people to count the votes. I favor public exhibition, of the electoral procedure. Yes, I want to whatch on a feed, folks countin'...

  • Re: Are there two sides to the Ron Paul campaign?
you are really voting for the mafia no matter which leader you vote for.
A vote for Ron Paul is a vote against the government. Ron Paul wants to disband the department of education, agriculture, FAA, homeland security, CIA, Social Security, IRS, legalize sound money...

  • Re: Are there two sides to the Ron Paul campaign?
You endorse the state when you vote.
You also endorse the state when you use its' roads, pay taxes, attend its' schools, and go to its' libraries. There is very little you can do that is moral. In light of these observations is voting for Ron Paul really...
I think I could find about anything more worthwhile doing than voting for a guy that makes his living off of blood money. Washing my car in the rain, for example.
I find it interesting that you have a car, in that, some of the gas you put in your car was stolen...

  • Re: Are there two sides to the Ron Paul campaign?

I'm an anarchists and I'll be voting for Ron Paul. And I'm not alone . So the Libertarian Party is vital if not necessary to repealing statism. And contrary to Konkin’s suggested timetable of a millennium, a militant and abolitionist LP in control of Congress could wipe out all the laws overnight...

  • Re: 5 Reasons Not to Vote
A small government advocate is still a statist. If a small government is justified, so is a big government.
That would depend on what someone considers justified. There can be gradual differences between types of governments and they way they are intruding in the...

  • Re: 5 Reasons Not to Vote
Surely you endorsed the state, and are a statist yourself.
Well, contractually speaking, a vote is not consent to the states power. From the view of contract law, contracts cannot be entered anonymously. As a vote is an anonymous thing, no one can take the list of...
