I mean every Austrian I know has one and wears it often. Considering the trends of the masses in times such as these, it's like putting a sign on that says 'Dear federal officials, I need to be sent to a re-education camp so I can be a more productive citizen.'

Maybe.  But watching the general drift of first the Bush administration and now the Obama administration, I think by the time the USG starts trying to implement re-education camps it will already be near collapse.  The Southwestern US will have joined Mexico, South Florida will federate with the Caribbean nations, and Southerners and Midwesterners will be deserting the military, taking their weapons with them.
