I was trying to explain the Austrian perspective to a friend and he was not such a believer in the fact that government intervention was the root cause of much of our problems. He seemed to think that they may indeed sometimes cause the initial drip, but not the full out tidal wave. The basis from his statements came from the following two books: An Engine Not A Camera by Donald Mackenzie....and A Demon Of Our Own Design by Richard Bookstaber.
Has anyone read either of these two books? If so what would you say were their main arguments or could you perhaps offer the Austrian rebuttal? Thanks in advance if anyone has read either of these books. I will put them on my reading list but was wondering if anyone on here could help me out in my discussion with my friend.
