I'm getting forum emails for threads that I've posted in like a month ago. I've gotten like three hundred today. It's sending the same things over and over.  I've even opted not to receive any emails using my profile options, and they are still coming.

What's up with the forums?

The emails were not sending since January 5th because the database was corrupted.  I fixed the corruption, which opened the floodgates to 68,222 emails.  In hingsight, I should have deleted the forum notification emails first.

Due to some bug, the emails were copied twice to the out queue, so it's actually sending 136,444 emails.  I'm doing the last batch of 20,000 emails now, so it'll be over soon.

It's not spam.  The mail queue kicked in after being off forever.  You got like 300?  I get over 100 every 10 minutes for the last 6 hours.

I figured we just had to wait it out.

So much for saving bandwidth lol.

Why would it be the same things over and over? I've gotten the same replies from "the feudal land arrangement" and "the 'real' vulgar libertarians" threads at least three times. It's like the server is just sending the whole thread over and over and over.

I even tried to change my email address, and still it arrives. I could block emails from that address for the time being.

I'm not getting spam, but I'm having trouble logging into my account (sirmonty) for some reason.  It keeps saying it has been locked or not approved yet????

I the mises email notifications have gone batshit insane.  I opened my inbox and I saw all these emails.  This is madness.  I have to remember to uncheck the box.

The server is secretly a statist AI, trying to kindle the flames of the left-right debate.

I've set my email to send all emails from webmaster@mises.org to bypass the inbox and go straight to the trash. It's working!

You should consider switching to Gmail, as this is just one of many, many reasons why Hotmail sucks.

I got 4000 emails. But they got deleted quickly...

EDIT: That was an entirely pointless post.

The difference between libertarianism and socialism is that libertarians will tolerate the existence of a socialist community, but socialists can't tolerate a libertarian community.
