I always thought Switzerland was a little more hand off, but apparently not.  Any bets on how long before homeschooling is banned throughout the U.S.?

Well not Switzerland banned homeschooling but Zurich, which is a canton of Switzerland. In Switzerland almost everything is up for popular vote if enough citizens apply for it. So there is no federal coercion going in like in Germany or the U.S.

What do you mean by, "going in"?

In the Helvetic Confederation, the rural cantons tend me to more free market orientated, whereas the cities are most statist.
