Next will come the attacks on Big Meat.

The Gorettes are fighting an uphill battle. They still effectively control the medias (just look at how much coverage the hurricane season is getting on TV, even half a world away) and they have a sympathetic ear in pretty much every political party in the world, but they are quickly losing the support of large industries which, perhaps a bit too late, are realizing the friends they picked to help them out.
Their focus is now switching to reducing consumption... of course this is supposed to affect us peones. The Mises institute run many articles on the theme in the past, including a very nice recent one: http://www.mises.org/story/3075
Yes, it's time for the Dr Goebbels show!
I saw an advertisement on SBS the other day that stated (maybe not directly) that if I didn't become a vegetarian, I'd destroy the planet. I think it linked to goveg.com.
In honor of the article, I had a 1 1/4lb porterhouse steak for lunch. With a side of beef jerky.
While not in response to the article, i did enjoy an excellent 24 ounce Porterhouse at Durangos Steak House, nice and rare. :)
I'm not very big on meat actually, but I consume it lightly for the nutritional value inherent in meat (mainly fish & chicken).I bet it would just irk vegitarians if I asked them, feigning innocence, "does going to subway & ordering a veggie sub make me a vegitarian?".
