John Rose Sr. was a candidate for the West Virginia House of Delegates (4th District) that got killed during the storm by a falling tree branch. Poor guy. However, it looks like 45% of that district may prefer no rulers! Sweet "public mandate," West Virginia's 47th District! Wish it could have won the day...

WV 47th HOUSE -- 20 of 20 precincts reporting (100%)

  Mary Poling [Dem] 3,596 55% (X)
  John Rose [GOP] 2,973 45%

Disclaimer: I admit this isn't the greatest joke. I just wanted to be the first to make one about this story.
