Why not host libertarian environmental conferences

I'm sure there are libertarians who care about the environment in our own way. Why not have green libertarian conferences where we expound our solutions and try to organize to solve some problems caused by the tragedy of the commons? That would at least give leftists some pause.

@Wheylous: That's a great idea ... but somehow "Put your money where your mouth is and donate to our Environmental Fund so we can buy up sensitive habitats and preserve them" doesn't have the same ring to it as "Join us while we lobby to raise taxes on other people so they can be forced to pay for your pet environmental habitat preservation projects!"

I think Sierra Club actually does buy up some land, by the way. Perhaps we could infiltrate SC and establish a "libertarian wing" that lobbies within the organization for a shift of strategy away from lobbying and towards land purchases exclusively.
