if you are a net taxpayer, take all the money you can until you are even with the state.

from that point on, take all the money you can from the state and give it to net taxpayers until they are even with the state.

preferably support taxpayers that don't support the state (are libertarians)

Sounds reasonable to me.

Me too. I am not going to take the money.  I have 10 years to claim it.(maybe I will revisit this in about 10 months.)  I am not taking the money, because I don't want to give the army a chance to update my file.  Ethical Dilemma resolved.  Thank you everyone.

I wasn't thinking of that, but that's so true.  the money is a side note, it's the paperwork and updating of the file that puts your name current within their scope.  the money might have been simply bait whereas the money isn't what's so dangerous, but the updating of the file that is all the more dangerous.  stay off their computer and current file.  that in and of itself is the better argument than wondering about the money, imo.  good call !  and seeing you have time to decide, then as you say you can always revisit this.

I had not thought of it this way... hmm...
