I want to embed into a Mises Community blog post  a Picassa slideshow of my Human Action Comics project.  But it doesn't work, whether I use the "Insert Media" button or whether I insert it manually into the HTML code.  Anyone know a way of doing it?

You could always put the slides into a few animated .gifs, which might be a good option for additional audience consumption on the internets.

I'm not sure if <IFRAMES> are allowed, but you could also try that out, I guess.

Thanks, Nitroadict.  Do you know of any free apps for the Mac that I could use to make .gifs?

Although, I'm still holding out hope that I can just paste my <embed> code.  It seems like such a basic thing!

Alas, no, for I am no Mac user.

However, this might help: http://picasa.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=66969

Thanks for that; only the problem isn't on Picassa's end.  It's the Community Server that doesn't seem to support standard <embed> code.  I think the rich text editor is getting in the way somehow.

This is the code I try to embed. (It's all 3 Human Action Comics Issues)

<embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://picasaweb.google.com/s/c/bin/slideshow.swf" width="600" height="400" flashvars="host=picasaweb.google.com&noautoplay=1&hl=en_US&feat=flashalbum&RGB=0x000000&feed=http%3A%2F%2Fpicasaweb.google.com%2Fdata%2Ffeed%2Fapi%2Fuser%2FLilburne2%2Falbumid%2F5391578120853398273%3Falt%3Drss%26kind%3Dphoto%26hl%3Den_US" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"></embed>

But below is what happens when I use "Insert Media".

Oddly enough, it looks fine in the editor.  But once it actually is published, it doesn't work.

And below is what happens when I enter it into the "Edit HTML" feature.

Again, this looks fine in the editor.  But once published... nothing.

OBJECT, EMBED and IFRAMES are not included, because they can be used maliciously.
