I look forward to continuing my journey of enlightenment on libertarian principles and the austrian school of economic thought.

New environment.  Just kind of checking things out and observing so far.  Said hello to Conza since he's permanently banned from RPF.  Wouldn't mind saying hello to TW if he has an account here at Mises.  Seen one thread that caught my fancy a little bit ago I posted in.

On a side note this server does seem annoyingly slow at times when I am surfing the site.

Yeah. You know how I'd always defend the concept of a truly free society? Well, essentially the minarchist trolls stopped 'attacking' it, so I didn't need to 'defend' it anymore. Two weeks of 'peace' lol. Anyway, I got zen like, and took up Socratic questioning instead. Turns out I should have used it all along, much more effective & fun. And oddly enough, that is why I am banned. LE & others got sick of having to recognise their positions are corrupt, illogical and full of contradictions.

Their loss, not mine. Smile

Socratic method is really effective.  Not surprised about LE.  As I discussed privately, more you can do outside of RPF.  Certainly more you can do in your own local community for real liberty.

This is a blessing in disguise.

Lol. I think they hate being challenged on their positions.

I was able to convert a lot (read some) people to minarchism. This was before the primaries, and before I was an-cap. Actually, it was the an-caps (a group which I then became of memebr of) that did the most and successfully converted people to at least minarchism. Which is why it surprised me when they (the mods and the RPForums elders) started attacking and denouncing the an-caps. In some cases, they would takes sides with socialists and trolls over us.

Hello LFOD, and welcome.

Live_Free_Or_Die:

God I'm glad you mentioned this. Clicking on any link in this forum is usually painfully slow. I mean, I see the DSL light flicker on my modem as the door-knocking request goes to the server, and then I usually wait... and wait... and wait... for a page to load. Once the packets begin to arrive from the server, the page will load quickly. Is this a me-only problem, or general? (I don't have this difficulty at other sites, so I don't think it's an ISP or browser problem at this end.)

How long are you guys waiting for?

At max, for me at least, it's a second or two. You could try mentioning it in the "Minor Website Issues" thread.

When I get the mega-wait, it's like one-thousand-one, one-thousand-two, one-thousand-three, one-thousand-four, and page loads, or still one-thousand-five even, before the page loads. This happens to me under half the times I click a forum link, but close to it. Very annoying. Confused Angry

It varies.   Sometimes you can surf right along then sometimes I will have an unusual delay waiting for a page to load.  I haven't really identified any pattern.  Could be something like periodic cron jobs, bandwidth shortfalls, or  computer resources.  I doubt it is something on my end since I am not the only one that notices it and it when it happens I can pull up other sites just fine.

Welcome!

So how long have you been studying libertarianism and Austrian economics?

At most, 5% of the population would need to stop complying to bring down the government.

The choices in my life exemplify libertarian and austrian economic thought.  I don't study the subject nearly as much as I live it.

OK, so how long have you known about it?

At most, 5% of the population would need to stop complying to bring down the government.

I think he means that he lives in a manner consistent with libertarianism.
